Welcome to Georgia's Journey

Georgia Lily Lucas was born at home on October 6th, 2008 4:15am, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She was diagnosed with SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy) on April 1, 2009.

On April 3rd Georgia was taken home, to be near her sisters and the rest of her family and friends. Nearly three weeks later, on April 21, 2009, she died peacefully -- in the loving arms of her mother and in the same room in which she was born.

  4. What an incredible tribute to your darling little baby girl. Your words captured your love for Georgia and the way she charmed everyone she met. I wish we had the privilege of meeting such a special little one who has taught us all so much, but we appreciate you 'letting us in' to learn more about her through your words and pictures.
You are always making Georgia proud, each day you keep moving forward, spreading the word about SMA and her/your story, and we will continue to do the same-for Georgia and all of you.
    Love always,
    Em
