Welcome to Georgia's Journey

Georgia Lily Lucas was born at home on October 6th, 2008 4:15am, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She was diagnosed with SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy) on April 1, 2009.

On April 3rd Georgia was taken home, to be near her sisters and the rest of her family and friends. Nearly three weeks later, on April 21, 2009, she died peacefully -- in the loving arms of her mother and in the same room in which she was born.

    Hi Kristen & Mike and a very Happy Birthday to sweet little Georgia. I'm sure she is looking down on you all and is very excited about what you have planned for her special day. I wish I could be there to contribute and help in anyway, not to mention being able to get a chance to win the gift baskets ! I haven't contributed yet but please put me down for $100. I will send you a cheque in the mail. Good luck with today. I know it will be a great success.

    What a great time! The boys had so much fun going in the bouncer and down the slide, eating cookies and chips, drinking juice...You guys all did a great job!
