Welcome to Georgia's Journey

Georgia Lily Lucas was born at home on October 6th, 2008 4:15am, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She was diagnosed with SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy) on April 1, 2009.

On April 3rd Georgia was taken home, to be near her sisters and the rest of her family and friends. Nearly three weeks later, on April 21, 2009, she died peacefully -- in the loving arms of her mother and in the same room in which she was born.

Reminder

Just wanted to remind everyone that one week tonight is the volunteer meeting at my house. It will be at 7:00. Please come with a paper, a pen and your ideas. If you don't have my address please contact me.

    Kristen, unfortunately I can't make the meeting but I support you and everything you are doing for SMA, I think you are an amazing women and doing amazing things for the research of SMA. Way to go!! Given the same circumstances I think I too would go full steam ahead. I saw you today and I see how relaxed and how much fun you are with Calla and Maya, keep it up!! You know what you are doing and you are doing a great job of it.

    Sorry we can't be there but know we are supporting you and this fight every step of the way!! Good luck on Monday,I know there will be lots of people willing to help out for such a good cause!
