Welcome to Georgia's Journey

Georgia Lily Lucas was born at home on October 6th, 2008 4:15am, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She was diagnosed with SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy) on April 1, 2009.

On April 3rd Georgia was taken home, to be near her sisters and the rest of her family and friends. Nearly three weeks later, on April 21, 2009, she died peacefully -- in the loving arms of her mother and in the same room in which she was born.

As promised here are a few pictures from Vegas. Truthfully we took most of them on the first day at the wax museum and sadly we have none of us together. Don't know why we didn't think to ask someone to take our picture! No matter, we have great memories!

    I'm so sorry we didn't get a chance to meet up while we both there! It was a crazy, busy trip for us, as I am sure it was for you. That place makes me tired! Jeff and I were grateful to have a day and a half to relax and be lazy before we go back to work tomorrow. Looks like you had a great time!

    Hey Kristen,

    Love your look with (either) Seigfried or Roy...it screams of pure joy, happiness, and fun. It is also so great that you got to enjoy some alone time with your hubby!

    Sounds like you are off to plan your next adventure, have fun.

    Well, apparently I'd never be much of an actress Shar. I was supposed to be looking terrified! : ) I do see what you mean though. My eyes are definitely laughing.
