Welcome to Georgia's Journey

Georgia Lily Lucas was born at home on October 6th, 2008 4:15am, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She was diagnosed with SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy) on April 1, 2009.

On April 3rd Georgia was taken home, to be near her sisters and the rest of her family and friends. Nearly three weeks later, on April 21, 2009, she died peacefully -- in the loving arms of her mother and in the same room in which she was born.

My Dad

Top 10 Things That I Have Received From My Dad

10. The need for sunscreen because of my pale skin.

9. The ability to sleep in the middle of the day! : )

8. My temper - a long fuse but then we blow!

7. The ability to 'just walk away.'

6. My love of travelling.

5. My love of languages.

4. My ability to cook!! Oops! That one definitely belongs to MOM. : )

3. The ability to put family first - that one belongs to both of them.

2. The belief that it will be better in the morning - after a good night sleep.

1. My sense of humour!
